Santorini weather is very much alike general weather conditions in the Aegean and most of the mainland being dry and warm. In summer time midday is usually very hot so you are strongly advised to always remember your sunscreen and hat. For your evening walks you might need to carry around a light jacket, as sometimes the night sea breeze can be coolish. The sea is quite warm and enjoyable in summer, but can be rough due to the meltemi wind in August.

September and October are still warm for Santorini escapes, with tourists being considerably less at the time. The weather is still inviting for swimming and water sports, while afternoon walks can be more agreeable for sightseeing around the settlements.

From November until March, which is low season it gets cooler, with temperatures ranging from low to mid-teens.
